GUNG HO (1986)

Brief: The movie was made when Japan was showing the world how to make better products.The movie is about the clash and eventual reconcilation of cultures. Both the cultures are overdrawn a bit , but the movie is thoughtful.

NORMA RAE (1979)

Brief: Leadership does'nt come from the top. Norman Rae is a single mother who -despite great personal risk - fights to unionise her textile mill  to improve terrible working conditions.

PATTON (1970)
Starring: George C Scott, karl Maiden, Stephen Young
Brief: A profile of the most aggressive American General of  WW-II. This movie prompts deep reflections on the emotional intelligence that must underpin true leaders.

THE UNTOUCHABLES
Starring: Kevin Kotner, Sean Connery, Robert de Niro
Brief: Its about the Power of Character. A terrifically entertaining and exciting movie. the story is almost totally fictionalised.The script may not be true to history, but it's true to human emotion and very  moving, personalising the battle between the good and evil by concentrating on  the impact that violence and corruption has on families.

NARROW MARGIN
Starring: Gene Hackman, Anne Archer, JT Walsh
Brief: Its how at the end  the Truth Prevails.The movie delivers solid entertainment with an old fashioned feel for cliff-hanging adventure. Hackman stars as Los Angeles Deputy DA Robert Caulfield, who would like nothing more than to put white-collared gangster Leo Watts away for a long long time.

THE MATRIX
